My husband and I are together since almost 6 years and we visited Amsterdam together 4 times. You may ask why and actually the answer is not legal weed. The reason is that Amsterdam is one of the places we love most: we really feel at home in this city. After having been there in 2012, 2014 and 2016 this time we planned to stay for more than a weekend in order to discover new places accessible by train or bus from Amsterdam.
So last April we returned in Amsterdam for 5 days and we rented a beautiful apartment in a quiet neighborhood close to the city centre. We went visiting Rotterdam, Haarlem and the tulips gardens of Keukenhof. We took a train to the northern sea at Zandvoort in a sunny morning, we visited the Zaanse Schans historical windmills and we took part of the most crazy dutch feast of the year: the King’s Day celebrations.
Also we had the chance to enjoy the beauty of dutch spring, which is basically winter with flowering trees and crazy weather. Still the light was amazing.
Enjoy all the pictures of the first day in Amsterdam when we just wandered around in the places we love most of the city while spending relaxing time together eating french fries and delicious cookies.
